I am having trouble getting my scanner to show up in Adobe Acrobat over my home LAN.

The device I have is an HP G85 (DeskJet?) It is a printer/fax/scanner combo device. The printer system is working fine over the network. It is just I can't find how to set the scanner functionality to show up networked.

Thanks for help, I am looking forward to add some scores I have once this is sorted.

I don't know if there exists a windows service for scanner sharing... File and printer sharing is no problem, but for a scanner you should need a specialised third-party protocol I guess. anyway, why sharing it? don't you need to be physically near your scanner ?

Well the scanner is my father's, and I can visit with my laptop and connect to the wifi network to use it for college. He doesn't have Adobe Acrobat on his computer, just Adobe Reader and so I can't do the scanning on his PC.

Least I know I am not clinically retarded and was just blind to some support for scanner sharing. I will search for a scanner sharing protocol and hopefully have my Planets score scanned in, though its big :( so it may take some time.
